The internationally renowned physicist Raimund Jakobi is shot dead in broad daylight. The brilliant researcher—and head of department at the company Ultra Light Car (ULC)—was on the verge of completing a multi-million-dollar project: the development of a revolutionary new material for the automotive industry—a global first. Upon arriving at ULC, Detective Eisner encounters a tense and volatile atmosphere; the socially inept Jakobi was, to put it mildly, far from popular among his staff. Moreover, the very future of the company hinges on the success of his project.
