Boulevard reporter Brigitte Burkhard is kidnapped in Dresden. Her masked captor gives the police a 24-hour ultimatum: 150 allegedly abducted children must be released, or Burkhard will die. When it becomes clear that the children do not actually exist, the investigation leads to a father who has been convinced that his daughter was kidnapped and has increasingly become consumed by conspiracy theories.
