Hurd Hatfield
The Picture of Dorian Gray. I suoi film successivi, The Diary of a Chambermaid, The Beginning or the End e The Unsuspected, ebbero successo, ma Giovanna d'Arco fu un fallimento sia di critica che di finanziamento. I film successivi includevano ruoli di supporto in The Lefthanded Gun, King of Kings (come Ponzio Pilato), El Cid, Harlow (come Paul Bern) e The Boston Strangler. Negli anni '70 ridusse le esibirsi. I suoi film successivi includevano King David and Her Alibi. Apparve frequentemente in televisione e ricevette una nomination agli Emmy per la pièce video della Hallmark Hall of Fame The Invincible Mr. Disraeli. Nel 1957 apparve in Beyond This Place, diretto da Sidney Lumet. Altri crediti televisivi includono tre apparizioni come ospite in Murder She Wrote, accanto alla sua co-protagonista di Picture of Dorian Gray, Angela Lansbury, che era diventata un'amica per tutta la vita. È apparso anche come il cattivo nel secondo episodio di Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. Apparve in Alfred Hitchcock Presents in "Nessuno è così cieco".
