Warren Stevens
Warren Albert Stevens était un acteur américain de théâtre, de cinéma et de télévision. Membre fondateur de l'Actor's Studio de New York, Stevens a été remarqué à Broadway à la fin des années 1940 et s'est ensuite vu offrir un contrat à Hollywood par la 20th Century Fox. Son premier rôle à Broadway fut dans La Vie de Galilée, puis son premier rôle au cinéma dans Les Hommes-grenouilles. En tant que jeune acteur sous contrat avec un studio, Stevens n'avait guère le choix et il est apparu dans des films tels que Appel d'un inconnu, Attendez que le soleil brille, Nellie et Gorilla at Large. Un rôle mémorable au cinéma fut celui du malheureux « Doc » Ostrow dans le film de science-fiction Planète interdite. Il a également eu des seconds rôles dans La Comtesse aux pieds nus avec Humphrey Bogart et Intent to Kill. Malgré des rôles occasionnels dans de grands films, Stevens n'a pas réussi à percer régulièrement dans des films de premier plan, il s'est donc taillé une carrière à la télévision en tant qu'acteur dramatique itinérant. Il a joué le rôle du lieutenant William Storm dans Tales of the 77th Bengal Lancers, une série d'aventures diffusée en prime time et se déroulant en Inde. Stevens a également prêté sa voix à John Bracken dans la première saison de Bracken's World. Il a joué le rôle d'Elliot Carson dans la série de jour Return to Peyton Place pendant ses deux années d'existence. Il a également joué dans divers westerns : Laramie, The Rebel, The Man Called Shenandoah), La grande caravane, The Alaskans, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Daniel Boone, The Virginian Rawhide, Have Gun, Will Travel, ainsi que Tombstone Territory et Stoney Burke. En 1970, il apparaît dans le rôle de Paul Carson dans « The Men From Shiloh » (nom rebaptisé The Virginian dans l'épisode intitulé « Hannah »). L'apparition de Stevens dans le film Robbers' Roost de 1955 lui a permis de rencontrer Richard Boone, qui l'a engagé pour un rôle télévisuel continu dans The Richard Boone Show, une série d'anthologie primée de la NBC qui a duré la saison 1963-1964. Au cours de ses dernières années, les apparitions de Stevens étaient peu fréquentes. Il a joué en tant qu'invité dans Urgences en mars 2006 et a eu deux rôles en 2007.
