Robert McQuain
Cast · Known for The Andy Griffith Show
The only child of Jay David and Lena McQuain, "Bob" grew up in the Washington D.C. area, often visiting and spending summers at the McQuain homestead in Elkins, West Viriginia as well. He graduated from Fork Union Miltary Academy and later attended William and Mary College. Mr. McQuain's big break came when he appeared playing Sir Walter Raleigh in the famous outdoor theatre production of The Lost Colony of Roanoke, a wonderful historical production still on-going today in North Carolina where the historical event actually took place. This was also the venue in which actor, Andy Griffith had got his own early start. When Mr. Griffith returned to NC for a visit, he caught a performance and met Mr. McQuain. This lead to a subsequent friendship, an introduction to Andy's Agent, Mr. Richard Linc, and their circle of friends in the business, a move to Hollywood, years of behind-the-scenes studio work experience, several (14) small bit parts on the 1960s "The Andy Griffith Show," as well as Gunsmoke, Perry Mason and a made for TV Disney two-part movie called Bristol Face, all in the time-honored practice of grooming an actor for a beak in a leading role. However, Mr. McQuain was bucking up against a rival look- alike at the time with the sudden recent success of actor, James Garner. But, by this time, Mr. McQuain was finding more interest working behind the camera as manager of the Title, Optical and Special Effects Department at CFI, Consolidated Film Labs in Hollywood where he worked for ten very innovative years. He then made a move to use his natural likability and knowledge of the industry as a freelance agent booking talent on television and radio talk shows and promotion of all kinds. By 1975, times were changing, with the '72 L.A. earthquake, the oil crisis, and Holywood changing for good from it's golden era, Mr. McQuain pulled up roots leaving Hollywood for good and moved his family to Oregon. He became a licensed real estate agent and soon opened up his own brokerage office with agents and family being apart of it all. He also ran, successfully, for local political office. Tall, with a deep, booming voice, it was hard to forget the friendly Mr. McQuain once you met him. A devoted family man, he had a great interest in genealogy and researched the McQuain family lineage. Still working actively in commercial real estate and family financial planning to the end, Mr. McQuain died unexpectedly in December 1999. He was loved by a great many.

Peter Dreimanis
Cast · Known for Sinners
The basic structural facts of rock band July Talk are this: two front people, Leah Fay Goldstein and Peter Dreimanis, surrounded by whiplashing guitarists Ian Docherty and Josh Warburton, and double drummers Danny Miles and Dani Nash. For this compulsively DIY, rigorously self-realizing group, the essence of July Talk has always been the tension between precision and chaos. To understand this tension, we can reduce it to sets of twos, or we can magnify it and look deeper as to why we feel the need to frame it one way or the other. What we see says more about what we’re looking for. With July Talk, as with most things, what have we missed? We need not ask what July Talk’s two writhing frontpeople’s relationship is to each other, but rather what their relationship is to us, their audience, and to the world, this tender, villainous, confounding world. These bodies welcome our gaze, they revel and recoil in it while they furiously push back, asking of us what they ask of each other: please see me for who I am. If we see July Talk as a woman and a man, in opposition to one another, what we are seeing is our own projections upon these bodies. What goes on between these bodies, all of them, that kinetic, staticky, sticky space, is where the truth of July Talk takes shape. On stage, July Talk unfurls and explodes. The action pings from slo-motion commotion to back-bendy communion, fluid (as in bodily) and liquid (as in the dark goo phase of metamorphosis). Things get weird, occasionally grotesque, always enthralling. Each show offers moments of grace that reveal for a moment the inner workings of this unknowable universe. Hold onto those until the next time.

John Mitchum
John Newman Mitchum was the September child of a Norwegian mother and an Irish/Blackfoot father whom he never knew, as he was killed in a tragic train yard accident in 1919. His two-years-older brother Robert filled the role as best as he could, while their older sister Annette studied the lively arts and eventually joined a traveling vaudeville team. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the young family moved to Rising Sun, Delaware, where farm life didn't agree with the young boys. Scarce opportunities took them to New York City, where the streets of Hell's kitchen taught the brothers to fight, a skill they developed so well they earned the moniker 'them ornery Mitchum boys'. Eventually, when the Great Depression deepened, the family was forced to separate with the intention of meeting up with sister Annette, who had married a sailor and moved to California, changing her name to Julie. The teenage boys set out with little more than clean handkerchiefs to find their way across the country by the only means they could: hitchhiking and riding the rails. Their somewhat aimless journey took them to places they had never been; where their Eastern accents were not welcome, so they quickly learned that accurately mimicking the local dialect would keep them out of trouble--some of the time! While brother Robert fairly quickly discovered his place in Hollywood legend, John sought his destiny on the high seas, professionally boxing, or conducting a choir. When the opportunity for acting came along John found his perfect niche as a character actor, mostly playing heavies since he was an imposing figure of a man. John's roles had him playing alongside a wide range of celebrities, from Humphrey Bogart in "Knock On Any Door" (1949) to Gladys Knight in "Pipe Dreams" (1976), Clint Eastwood of "Dirty Harry" (1971) to John Wayne in "Chisum" (1970), appearing in 58 films overall. It was during production of "Chisum" that John Wayne offered his voice for an anthology of John's poetry that seeks to uplift US culture, "America, Why I Love Her", a recording for which Mitchum was nominated for a Grammy in 1973. John was a consummate storyteller (as was his brother Robert), and with his fascination with US history in particular he was ever-ready to regale anyone with a thoughtful, interesting, and insightful anecdote, especially if a guitar was available. It was the wedding of music and history that brought him to create the recording "Our Land, Our Heritage" with Dan Blocker; big "Hoss" from "Bonanza", in 1964. Mitchum had some recurring roles throughout his television career; such as "Pickalong" from "Riverboat", or "Hoffenmueller" from "F-Troop", over 150 appearances in all during the span of a half-century career. The brothers Mitchum legacy has been well-preserved in his often hilarious autobiography, "Them Ornery Mitchum Boys", published in 1989. The subjects range from brother Robert escaping a Georgia chain-gang to his "poontang" interview; from John surviving an attacking whale on a three-masted schooner to his adventures riding the rails, developing a great love and respect for the people of the United States.

Instead, the actors are encouraged to be in the moment and let their natural, emotional power take over and thus tap into the vast collective unconscious all humans are capable of attuning themselves to. Eastin is best known for appearing in such films as Field of Dreams (1989), Con Air (1997) and A Man Apart (2003), where he developed a reputation as the tough guy with a heart of gold underneath.
