Dick Haymes photo

Dick Haymes

Arguably one of the best singers of the twentieth century, Dick Haymes was born in Argentina to a Scots/Irish father and Irish mother, but brought to the U.S. as an infant. Dick inherited his vocal gift from his mother who made ends meet during the Depression as a singer and voice teacher. A music gig in 1931 caught the eye of a local band leader and soon Dick was moving up, but it was slow-going. In 1939, while Dick was trying to pitch his songwriting talents to band leader Harry James, he ended up his featured vocalist, instead. During the war years Dick hooked up with the Benny Goodman and Tommy Dorsey orchestras before deciding to go solo. Nabbing his own radio program in addition to a Decca recording contract, Twentieth Century Fox soon expressed interest in his musical talents. Among his many film leads were State Fair (1945) opposite Jeanne Crain and Vivian Blaine, Diamond Horseshoe (1945) and The Shocking Miss Pilgrim (1947) both paired with Betty Grable, One Touch of Venus (1948) with Ava Gardner, and All Ashore (1953), a second string version of On the Town (1949), with Mickey Rooney and Ray McDonald as his shore-leave buddies. For such a pleasant and unassuming man, Dick's personal life certainly was a shambles aggravated by alcoholism and financial debt. Five marriages came and went (including actresses Joanne Dru, Nora Eddington, Rita Hayworth, and Fran Jeffries) before his sixth one finally stuck. By the 1960s, his life was all but ruined. He managed to travel to Europe and picked up the remnants of his career. His reputation had not tarnished there, and he enjoyed some renewed popularity; he never regained, however, the foothold in the business that he once had. Dick died of lung cancer in 1980. Though not as well remembered as other crooners of his time (Frank Sinatra, Tony Martin, Vic Damone), and not a particularly charismatic performer on film, this rich baritone's legacy IS his music. Some of Dick's more popular recordings include "The More I See You," "How Blue the Night," "For You, For Me, Forever More," "Speak Low," and "Another Night Like This."

Clark Moore photo

Clark Moore

Cast · Known for Route 187

Clark Moore is an American actor, born in the border city of Laredo, Texas. The son of a store owner/rancher, he invested a large portion of his energy outside. As a result of his affection for the outdoors, he was out hunting, fishing, climbing and enjoying nature. He attended high school in Laredo. The exacting standards of the school didn't agree with him, which meant he found himself in trouble more often than he wanted. When it came to acting, very early on Clark knew that’s what he wanted and High school is where he had some of his first experiences on stage. It was these experiences that would solidify his passion for acting. He realized that his home town wasn't going to offer him the life and opportunities that would fulfill him and knew he couldn't stay. College took him to the University of Texas at Austin, which had a legitimate film program, nestled in a bustling city, and a thriving small film market. Early in his career in Los Angeles, Clark struggled to make ends meet with his acting, getting cast in commercials from time to time while holding down jobs in order to pay bills. Despite constant difficulties, his grit and tenacity only grew as rejection and failure piled up. It became par for the course and through work and perseverance slowly came co-star role after co-star role. These were on network shows such as Masters of Sex and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. As a few years went by his resume grew, and he was able to catch the eye of directors and casting directors which led him to booking a recurring role on the show The Last Ship. That same year his luck changed and he was chosen out of thousands of actors which were being cast out of New York, Miami, Atlanta, London and Los Angeles to play the lead in a 10 minute segment promo for Mini Cooper directed by Academy Award winning director Joachim Bach in a film called This Day Forward. This fortunate event was a catalyst that helped move him into becoming a working actor. Soon after he played the lead in Aaron Manky's Amazon Prime show Lore in The Beast Within. Clark has gone on to play leading roles in several feature films. His career and new opportunities allow him to try areas that stretch him as an actor and pursue future goals such as producing and directing.

Robert Jeaudoin photo

Robert Jeaudoin

Robert Francis Jeaudoin was an American professional wrestler and civil engineer, also known by the ring name of "Hangman" Bobby Jaggers. Most of his renown as a wrestler came from his appearances in various National Wrestling Alliance-affiliated promotions. In particular, he found his greatest success in Championship Wrestling from Florida and Pacific Northwest Wrestling, the latter near his hometown of Vancouver, Washington. His wrestling gimmick was of a cowboy from Kansas, where he spent the later years of his life. Debuting under the name "Bobby Mayne" (after his favorite wrestler Lonnie Mayne) in 1972 in the Pacific Northwest against Al Madril, Bobby Jaggers learned his craft. Soon after debuting, he moved to Memphis, where he teamed with Charlie Fulton and was managed by Sir Steve Clements. In 1973, he moved to Kansas City, where he caught the eye of Dory Funk, Jr., who wanted him in his Amarillo territory, in which he did split his time between the two territories. In 1975, after a brief stint in San Francisco, he went to Louisiana to work for Bill Watts, where he formed a team with Jerry Brown. He later moved up to Canada in Vancouver, working for Al Tomko and All-Star Wrestling, but didn't last long, as he left after a falling-out with Gene Kiniski. He then moved down to Atlanta for NWA Georgia Championship Wrestling, where he teamed up with Sterling Golden, who would go on to become one of the most iconic wrestlers in the world, Hulk Hogan. He would also wrestle in Knoxville for while, before moving down to Florida. It was in Florida, where Bobby Jaggers found his niche. He feuded with Dusty Rhodes all over the territory. During that time, he would wrestle on and off for World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico, wrestle eighteen tours of Japan, and some shows in South Africa. In 1984, he went to Portland for Don Owen and Pacific Northwest Wrestling. While there, he won four Heavyweight titles and two Tag Team titles, with one partner each, before leaving for the Mid-Atlantic area ran by Jim Crockett Promotions. While there, he formed his well-known tag team The Kansas Jayhawks with Dutch Mantel. In 1986, they lost to Ivan Koloff and Krusher Khrushchev in a tournament final to determine the inaugural NWA United States Tag Team Champions. Jaggers would remain in JCP until 1988. By 1988, Bobby Jaggers wrestled actively in Puerto Rico for WWC. But on July 16, 1988, one incident changed his life forever. After a show, Bruiser Brody was murdered in the shower in the locker room. Jaggers was in the heel locker room when Brody was in the face locker room. The murder made him slowly phase his career out, before finally retiring in 1991. In fall of 1989, Jaggers made two appearances in the WWE losing to Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart and a tag team against The Rockers. In 1989 Bobby Jaggers teamed with Black Bart and were called the Southern Force in the FCW/PWF and held the tag team titles one time after beating the Nasty Boys in St Petersburg Fl. Then Jaggers and Black Bart lost the title to Dustin Rhodes and Mike Graham in Tampa Bay Fl. The FCW/PWF was being booked and run by Dusty Rhodes, until Dusty left for WWE. FCW/PWF closed down in 1991.
