Overview

In a remote Italian abbey, shrouded by a bitter winter and steeped in labyrinthine secrets, a learned Franciscan friar and his eager novice arrive for a theological debate. Their intellectual journey is abruptly derailed when a series of mysterious, ritualistic deaths plunge the monastery into fear and suspicion. As the body count rises, the friar, a keen observer of human nature and the darker corners of faith, must unravel a complex web of heresy, forbidden knowledge, and deadly ambition before the abbey's own dark truths consume them all.
