Overview

In a quaint English village where the most exciting event is a prize-winning pumpkin, Nicholas Angel, a relentlessly competent detective, finds himself transferred from the bustling streets of London. Assigned to the sleepy backwater of Sandford, he soon discovers that beneath the idyllic facade, something far more sinister is lurking. With his overzealous rookie partner, Angel must unravel a series of increasingly bizarre and violent "accidents" that threaten to shatter the peace and reveal a shocking conspiracy far too big for this picturesque community.
