Overview

Walt Kowalski, a cantankerous Korean War veteran, finds his rigidly ordered world disrupted when his teenage neighbor, Thao, attempts to steal his prized Gran Torino. This initial clash of cultures and generations unexpectedly blossoms into a reluctant mentorship, as Walt, a man hardened by experience and adrift in a changing world, begins to impart his own gruff brand of wisdom and protection onto the boy and his family, forging an unlikely bond in the face of simmering tensions.
